| September 2004 | The biomass gasifier, complete with gas engine and alternator, arrives from India. This equipment was purchased with funds from MEKARN and forms the basis of the MSc research project of Miech Phalla. Various fibrous byproducts are being evaluated as fuel sources, with the aim of maximizing the use of forage trees and shrubs as combined sources of feed and energy. | |
