The new research centre (CelAgrid) of UTA (Cambodia) was established on soils low in organic matter depleted of nutrients after continuous rice-growing.  Vigorous crops of cassava and mulberry show the transformation after fertilization with biodigester effluent

The gasifier, linked to a gas engine and alternator, produces electricity from fibrous crop residues. Coconut shells, fibrous stems from mulberry and cassava and sugar cane bagasse are being evaluated as sources of fuel in the Mekarn MSc project of student Miech Phalla
