University of Tropical Agriculture
UTA Foundation at
the Ecological Farm

The University of Tropical Agriculture Foundation (UTA) was established in Vietnam in 1996, at the University of Agriculture and Forestry (now the Nong Lam University), Ho Chi Minh city.

The aim  was to offer a wider range of opportunities to learn and do research about sustainable agriculture for tropical conditions.

The first ecological farm was set up in Vietnam, where UTA carried on activities in research and training until 1999. From 1999 to 2002, UTA's activities were based in Cambodia.

Since January 2003 UTA's base is on an Ecological Farm in South Santander, Colombia.
